Nedu Rails & Green Power Limited, is a wholly Nigerian Engineering Company, with a passion for bringing 'good' home. Seeing what it is like elsewhere around the world, We have dedicated ourselves to the development of marquee infrastructure in every State in our Country, Nigeria.

We have identified two specific infrastructure types deserving of all our energies and resources:

Commuter Rail Networks linking all Local Governments within the State with each other and with the State Capital.
Wind and Solar Power Systems to power the Rail Networks and to augment the State's Power Needs, where required

Nedu Rails & Green Power Limited is currently reaching out to all South East and South-South States to submit our offer and Proposals, to help. The idea is to link up all Local Governments in each State with each other and with the State Capital. Each Local Government shall be provided with an Airport style Terminal of State-of-the-art quality and design. In any State where there is an Airport, the Airport shall be provided with a Terminal of same standard and quality, also.

Nedu Rails & Green Power Limited shall source for Capital and build the Assets. The only financial contribution that shall be required from the State Government is the 'Seed' Fund of no less than Five Million US Dollars ($5 million). This will enable the achievement of all relational project milestones as well as under-guard the State's commitment to the Project.

Nedu Rails & Green Power Limited shall build two Power plants of One Gigawatt-Hour each in each State. One shall be Wind Power and the other Solar Power. Both shall complement each other in powering the Rail Networks and Terminals uninterruptibly.

The State shall however be responsible for providing all Lands and ROWs with full documentation and approvals and survey documents. All interactions with the Local Governments and other authorities within the State, shall be handled by the State Government.

Nedu Rails & Green Power Limited shall Build, Operate & Own the Network according to Terms and Conditions to be spelt out in the MOU/MOA. Thereafter, if the State Government wishes to take over the operation of the Network, they shall be free to do so subject to Terms and Conditions that shall be clearly enshrined in the MOU/MOA.

The Rail Networks shall operate on 24/7 basis. There shall be a train at each Station every hour and we intend to ensure world-class punctuality by the service. And, in recognition of the poverty of the majority of the citizenry, Nedu Rails & Green Power Limited does not intend to charge full commercial rates for the service but shall 'subsidize' the service where permitted. At each Terminal, there shall also be Car Parks where Commuters may park there cars during departure and retrieve their cars on return for a modest daily fee. There shall also be a Car Park for Organized Commercial Transporters who will help Commuters to reach their homes or final destinations at their own fees in which Nedu Rails & Green Power Limited shall have no part.

It is no secret, or is it?

Power generation has become the albatross of the Nigerian economy and the cause of the poverty of the quality of Nigerian lives!

Why is it so? One can, given the freedom of thought, come up with dozens of reasons why we cannot seem to match our power consumption needs with our power generation ability or capacity.

Let us just take a few, very few here:

Lack of funds
High cost of fuels
Inferior or inadequate technologies
Inadequate knowledge and skills
Relatively short rainy seasons and poor water supply for hydro-power.

In all honesty, there is no genuine reason why Nigerians should be in the dire power supply situation that we are in today. None of the above 'reasons' is justifiable or acceptable.

We can try a new tact. Invest in renewable Power Supply systems. First, it will eliminate the issue of fuel supply and its attendant costs and troubles.

In today's world, the technologies needed for constructing renewable power supply systems are mature and maturing the more by the day. Meaning, their initial costs are spiraling downwards and efficiencies ballooning.

The time is now to bring Nigeria into the 21^st Century. Nigerians deserve constant, uninterruptible power supply. Enough is enough. Let the story telling end.

We are offering to build Solar or Wind Power Plants at whatever scale may be needed to meet the Power needs of your State looking to the next 15 years of your power requirements. We are ready to raise the funds and design and build and operate the Facility and eventually transfer the Asset to you under Terms and Conditions to be negotiated and agreed.

We are not interested in a Contract. We shall have an MOU/MOA signed with the Government of the State in which every detail shall be spelled out. Details which shall govern the building, operating and eventual transfer of the Asset to the Host Government. All MOUs/MOAs shall be backed by sovereign guarantees in every case and cannot be subject to changes in polity or party or persons in Government.

However, if a State government prefers to pay for the project in which case, they prefer to give us a Contract, we shall ofcourse deal.

In every case, Nedu Rails and Green Power Limited will deploy state-of-the-art technologies. And during the life cycle of the Assets, at any time that the technologies improve and offer higher efficiencies, we will without fail, update or upgrade.

Finally, it is not entirely out of place to say that we too, being subject to the catastrophic effects of Climate Change, should begin doing our little, to help ameliorate the situation. Abuja residents will tell you that the weather in and around the City since the last half of 2023 is of a scale never before experienced there. It will not get better, if we do not begin to contribute our quota in the amelioration efforts.
